Goodness Circle helps nonprofits publish volunteer signup pages and helps volunteers sign up for shifts. This policy explains what information we handle and why.

Who is responsible for your information

When you sign up to volunteer, the nonprofit running that signup page decides how your registration is used. Goodness Circle stores and processes it on the nonprofit's behalf. For questions about a specific registration, contact that organization first. For questions about the platform, contact us.

Information we collect

• Account details: name, email address and sign-in method (email link, password, Google or Apple).
• Signup details: the shifts you choose, team membership, answers to an organization's questions, and age or orientation confirmations.
• Waivers and consent: signatures, and parent or guardian consent for minors where an organization requires it.
• Attendance: check-in records, including QR codes issued for a registration.
• Nonprofit details: organization name, website, contact email, branding and opportunities.
• Technical data needed to run the service, such as error reports and basic logs.

How we use it

• To create and manage registrations and share them with the organization you signed up with.
• To send confirmations, updates and, where enabled, reminders about your shifts.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.

We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

Sharing

Your registration is visible to authorized staff of the organization you signed up with. We use service providers to host data and send email; they may only use it to provide those services to us. We may disclose information if required by law.

Retention and your choices

We keep information while your account or the organization's page is active, and as long as needed for waiver and attendance records. You can manage email preferences from the link in our emails, and you can ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing createyourgoodnesscircle@gmail.com.

Children

Some opportunities accept younger volunteers with parent or guardian consent, as set by each organization. If you believe a child's information was provided without consent, contact us and we will help resolve it.
